It was raining like this one year ago just like now, and he was
walking home with his umbrella, he don't understand why he
brought
the umbrella that day as well but he just have the urge to take the
umbrella before he came out from the house, as if he knew it would
come in handy that day and indeed it did. 

He was walking very slowly, maybe too slow cause he did realized that
everyone was over-taking him, walking pass him so fast like they are
all in the rush to go somewhere. He didn't walk home but instead
he
went to the basketball court located beside the beach. He has no
intention to play basketball that day, not in that weather. He just
went there because he realized he never been there on a rainy day,
wonder how it would look, the sea must be not as peaceful then, waves
must be hitting in. 

As he was walking nearer and nearer to the basketball court, he
realized someone was there, standing there under the rain looking up
into the sky. [ What a funny fellow, he must love the rain as much as
I do, haha.. but not in the right way ] Sendoh thought and he smile. 

As he walk nearer to the standing figure, his smile fade away when he
realized who was the mysterious guy, he was surprised that it was
Rukawa. [ Now what would he be doing here under the rain? Don't
tell
me he intend to play basketball now? ^^;;]
But very soon the smile came back again as he walks nearer to Rukawa.
Rukawa had his back facing Sendoh and didn't realize there was
someone walking up to him. Further more he has his eyes close as he
tilted up his head, letting the drops of rain flowing down his face. 

Suddenly, nothing was flowing down from his face anymore, [ had the
rain stop? ] Rukawa wonders, [ couldn't be! ] and with that he
opened
up his eyes to see what was going on. The first thing he saw was an
umbrella right above his head. He blinked, still kind of confused. He
turned around to see Sendoh smiling at him and he blinked again. 

" you'll fall sick like this," Sendoh said. Rukawa
finally realized
what was going on and asked back, "What are you doing here?" 

" hey, is it wrong to be here? You don't happen to own this
place do
you?" Sendoh teased Rukawa. 

" ……" Rukawa ignore that comment and turned around again,
looking up
into the sky. 

" you should go home and change, you are wet through. Come on,
I'll
shed you," Sendoh offered in the same time voiced out his concern. 

Rukawa didn't reply but just plainly shook his head, he's
here for a
reason. If he was worried he would be sick he won't be here in
the
first place. Sendoh knew Rukawa wanted to stay and won't go home
just
yet so he stood there with him, shedding him with his umbrella. Only
the sound of raindrops were heard as the two tall boys stood there
silently. 

" you love the rain?" Sendoh finally broke the silence after
a few
minutes. Rukawa shook his head again but before Sendoh could ask
again. 

" I love what comes after it," Rukawa replied. 

" huh?" Sendoh confused but Rukawa have no further
explanation. 

Both of them continue to stood there, by-passer who notice them would
point at them and whisper among themselves. Finally half and hour
later, the rain stop and then there was something beautiful in the
sky, so colourful so nice. 

For the very first time, Sendoh saw Rukawa smile. A very happy broad
smile as he gaze up into the sky seeing the thing he loves. With that
Sendoh drop the umbrella as his two hand reached out for Rukawa's
waist. Rukawa was taken aback with Sendoh's actions. 

" Kaede, I … I love you," Sendoh uttered, surprising not
only Rukawa
but himself as well, he was always wary about his feeling towards
Rukawa and now, now he finally realized it himself as well. Sendoh
was worried because the smile earlier on Rukawa's face was gone
ever
since he had hugged him. 

" you are so like the rainbow," was the replied from Rukawa,
and then
the smile came back again, that same smile he had just a moment ago.
Sendoh blinked, it took him five seconds to react to that, the smile
came back just for a moment before he bent down and laid a little
kiss on Rukawa.

That was a year ago, Sendoh smile as the sweet memories came back to
him. He then realized he had reach Shohoku High, he continue walking
towards the gym and there he was, Rukawa walking out from it and
closing the door. 

Sendoh came up from behind and said, " I love the rain," 

Rukawa turned and stared at Sendoh, slightly taken aback. 

Sendoh just smile and invited, " let's go there and enjoy it
and
after that… after that we can see the rainbow, we can enjoy that
as
well, 2 in 1 what do you say?" 

The smile on Rukawa's face was the best answer one could wish for
as
the two share the umbrella, and walks out of the school compound.

Prologue
[ I love the rain ] 

many people had many different opinions on rain. Some believes that
it rains because the gods are sad over something, most probably
someone good and caring had pass away. Some say it rains because the
gods are furious and angry over certain things, that is why big heavy
rains occurred which leads to flood and disaster. There are even some
say, the gods are cleaning up heaven, moping the heaven's floor
and
the water they used are the rains pouring down to us. 

But for me, it rains because the gods are touched, touched by the
love and care lovers show to one another, the concern and worries of
our family and friends. In fact that is why it rain today, it is
Valentine's Day! It is the best day of the year to rain, this
shows
how much the god are touched by us.

it was what brought me to you. 

I love the rain because…
I love you. 

Ta da!! I've finish it. last minute work! What can I do?? I have
to
celebrate Chinese New Year, too!! Okay this is for Valentine's
DAY
of coz! I won't have to rush it, if it wasn't, right? Finally
